Red Bull Music Academy

The Red Bull Music Academy is a prestigious event staged once a year in a selected international destination. Making it’s way to Melbourne, Australia in 2006, Moth was engaged to transform the Australian Knitting Mill site in Richmond into an academy for 60 talented musicians to use and abuse for 3 weeks.

The site - consisting of 3 floors and a rooftop became offices, lounges, recording studios and a garden (including Bowls Green) over the short timeline of just three weeks. Working alongside Chris More from Studio Organic, Moth gathered an eclectic array of furniture, lighting and the work of a handful of emerging Melbourne Designers to create a welcoming yet visually challenging space for the many international visitors to the Academy.
